Poeshop

Poeshop, an educative and interactive workshop held on 18th May 2024, was a creative class specifically for spoken word poets. The workshop mainly focused on the contemporary features of poetry and how it should be presented to the audience. It emphasized certain key areas that make spoken word poetry, writing, and performing stand out. There were insightful moments as attendees learned about the thriving and up-to-date practical aspects of spoken word poetry. As spoken word poetry is performed and not recited, the poets on board displayed amazing performances that spiced up the whole workshop, highlighting that if platforms are created for poets in Ghana and regular workshops are organized for them, they will always be at the top of their game. This has become a household event that will happen every year.
