Mobile School Project

The education Ministry focuses on taking Quality Education to deprived areas to foster rapid development. The Education Ministry (just as goal 4 of the SDGs) also aims to provide equal access to affordable vocational and technical training, to eliminate gender and wealth disparities, and achieve universal access to a quality higher education. In light of this one of the major projects of the Education Ministry since its establishment is the MOBILE SCHOOL PROJECT. This is a project whereby volunteers who are also students deployed from Accra to rural areas in other regions to go and teach, impact and touch lives of the young people emerging. Due to the nature of the project and the criteria or selecting volunteers the project is mostly held on vacations especially long vacations, so that the volunteers will have enough time with the kids. The volunteers feeding and accommodation are always taken care of by Code57. The project is characterised by engaging the children on cocurricular topics such as, the value of education, teenage pregnancy, personal hygiene, reproductive health etc. and also helping their teachers in teaching and assessing the children.
